Peter Medwin, CPA, CTA

Peter founded the firm in 1994, having moved to Rockingham in the same year. He is a registered tax agent, holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Curtin University. After further study, he qualified as a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with CPA Australia and then as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with the Tax Institute. Prior to starting Peron Accountants, he was employed in an accounting practice in Perth. He has owned and operated a retail newsagency business and also worked with the Australian Taxation Office.

Peter has a special interest in making sure business clients are set up with a trading structure that best suits their needs, enabling clients to have options regarding how much tax they need to pay, how their hard-earned assets are protected and how they can exit the business. Preliminary and ongoing planning are essential tools for any business, regardless of size.

When not at work Peter enjoys playing golf, likes to walk on the beach and catch up with family and friends. He is also a one-eyed West Coast Eagles member and loves the footy season, especially attending Eagles home games at Optus Stadium.
